Financial Solutions for Military Professionals

Proud Partner of the
2007 Bell Helicopter
Armed Forces Bowl

First Command is proud to be a “Commander in Chief” partner — the highest level of corporate partnership — for the 2007 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, to be played on New Year’s Eve in Fort Worth, Texas.

The game, which will feature teams from the Mountain West and Pac-10 athletic conferences, will air on ESPN Regional Television and ESPN Radio. The 2006 Armed Forces Bowl, which First Command also partnered in, aired via the Armed Forces Network in 177 countries around the world and military installations across the United States.

First Command has produced a 30-second radio commercial and two 30-second television commericals that will air during the game. Each TV commercial features three vignettes in which First Command Financial Advisors and employees with ties to the military — through their own service or a family member’s — describe the meaning of that relationship and express their appreciation to America’s service men and women.

The game and associated events will involve all five branches of the military, and will include the “Armed Forces Adventure” fanfest area, a showcase of military hardware, a flyover, a demonstration by an elite military skydiving team, a military band and honor guard, and the presentation of a “Great American Patriot Award” with on-field induction ceremonies at halftime.

Through underwriting by First Command and other corporate partners, all U.S. military active-duty, reserve and National Guard personnel are eligible for free tickets to the game, and all U.S. military veterans are eligible for half-price tickets. A portion of local ticket sales will be donated to military charities.
